The region between Aarberg, Büren a. Aare, Sugiez and La Neuveville is generally known as the lake district. The Bielersee and the eponymous city of Biel form the core of the lake district. In addition to the lake and Biel, the lake district is also home to farmland, vineyards, sleepy villages and small medieval towns such as La Neuveville, Erlach, Aarberg and Nidau. |

Without doubt, the best way to explore our region is by bicycle. Over 200km of sign-posted cycle paths over mainly flat landscape allow you to get around gently and easily, and offer the chance to stop off for a bite to eat or a drink, to visit interesting places or take a dip in the lake. |

For inline skaters and, of course, hikers, miles of signposted paths through our charming region guarantee an unforgettable experience. |
