| The region between Aarberg, Büren a. Aare, Sugiez and La Neuveville is generally known as the lake district. The Bielersee and the eponymous city of Biel form the core of the lake district. In addition to the lake and Biel, the lake district is also home to farmland, vineyards, sleepy villages and small medieval towns such as La Neuveville, Erlach, Aarberg and Nidau. |
