Right behind the bar is the mash house of the Seeland Bräu brewery. Although the Seeland Bräu is an independent company in its own right, the brewery somehow "belongs" to the Lago Lodge, and that is why we always refer to it as "our brewery".
The complex was built for us by the Hungarian company Fejes und Kaltenecker in 1999. The complex is designed for 1,000l per brew. Behind the mash house is the tank room which accommodates five 1,000-litre fermentation tanks and six 1,000-litre storage tanks which are directly connected to the tap in the bar.
Due to the great success of our beer, we came up against our capacity limits during the summer of 2007. For this reason, two additional 2,500-litre external fermentation tanks where installed in 2008.
We currently brew approximately 75 times a year, i.e. almost 1.5 times per week. In the summer, however, it can happen that we brew three times a week. Accordingly, it is somewhat quieter during the winter.
